Thank You from Mayor Steve Bach

Thank you from Mayor Steve Bach

Dear Citizens:

Thank you to all those who emailed and called City Council members before its 2012 General Fund Budget “mark up” session last week.   I believe you made  a  real difference in the outcome, and I greatly appreciate your efforts.

While a majority of members supported our revenue forecast and an increase in employee sharing of health care premiums, Council nonetheless voted to make  other  changes  to  our  Budget, including increased spending on nonessential programs.

The next step is for Council to pass an ordinance affirming its modified

2012  General  Fund Budget.  They will pass this ordinance through two separate readings by early December. I will then decide by mid-December whether to veto any of the line items modified by Council.
