It was a beautiful day to hike the Canyon at Red Rock with Mayor Bach and his wife, Suzi. Next to the striking scenery, he was a big draw since he donated his time to this event as part of the Indy Give fundraising campaign.
Mayor Bach loves to be out and about, engaging with people from all around Colorado Springs. He’s an outdoorsy person who is genuinely interested in what people have to say.
Even though the Mayor’s schedule is extremely tight – some weeks he attends multiple community events each day – he feels it’s very important to participate. One of his key initiatives, in addition to a focus on jobs and transforming city government, is engaging the community.
It wasn’t easy to focus on conversation when there were so many scenic distractions to look at!
Following the brisk outdoors experience, the group moved indoors for breakfast and discussion. Mayor Bach took questions and discussed ways we can all make things better in Colorado Springs.
Publisher of The Independent, spoke about the importance of the Indy Give Campaign and thanked Mayor and Suzi Bach, as well as all the other hikers for their participation in the worthy cause.
