When the Town of Green Mountain Falls lost their historic Town Hall building to fire earlier this year, communities, citizens and organizations rallied to support them in their efforts to resume official activities. A Fire Recovery Fund was established and the City of Colorado Springs also offered assistance.
At a recent Mayors Caucus, Tyler Stevens, Mayor of Green Mountain Falls thanked Mayor Bach and everyone who stepped forward to help.
So it wasn’t surprising that when Nick Kittle from the City’s Office of Innovation and Sustainability spotted a fireproof filing cabinet that wasn’t being used, he thought of Mayor Bach’s offer to help.
Soon, Robert McArthur (left), the director of Public Works and Sean Newberry from the Town of Green Mountain Falls collected the surplus cabinet.
Thanks to Mayor Bach’s efforts to build alliances and strengthen relationships and Nick Kittle’s initiative, this fireproof filing cabinet now has a new home!
