Summer Rally Honoring Waldo Canyon Heroes

This has been a tough summer for the people of Colorado and we need to remember that together we can get through any adversity. On Saturday, July 28 from 2 -5pm, let’s unite and celebrate what makes us a great city. You are all invited to Sand Creek Soccer Stadium (adjacent to Security Service Field) to not only say hello to your Colorado Springs neighbors – but to say thank you to the Waldo Canyon heroes.

“The courage and commitment of every firefighter and rescue worker who fought this fire deserves to be celebrated and we want the entire Colorado Springs community to come out and thank these heroes. We want to let them all know how much we appreciate their efforts on our behalf, ” said Mayor Bach.

Our city deserves some fun, laughter and celebration. There will be interactive booths and activities for the whole family. Live music and entertainment, as well as refreshments, will be provided. Best of all, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and thank those firefighters and other rescue workers who fought the Waldo Canyon Fire.
