On Tuesday, September 18th, Mayor Steve Bach awarded a Spirit of the Springs Award to long-time volunteer at Peak Vista Community Health Centers, Dr. Neal Jepson. Dozens of family and friends were on-hand as Dr. Jepson was also named the Peak Vista Volunteer Clinician of the Year.
Over the many decades of his career, Dr. Jepson’s skills as an ophthalmologist have helped thousands of people, including Mayor Bach. During his remarks, the Mayor noted that he had been seeing Dr. Jepson for over 35 years. He also discussed Dr. Jepson’s way with people, noting that he always had a smile, a joke and a knack for making his patients feel better.
When it was his turn to speak, Dr. Jepson made sure to mention that he felt that the awards were not his alone, but that they deserved to be shared amongst all of the volunteers at Peak Vista. Below is the Spirit of the Springs citation for Dr. Jepson.
In recognition of compassion, dedication and volunteer medical service to our community, Mayor Steve Bach recognizes Dr. C. Neal Jepson with the Spirit of the Springs Award.
