On Tuesday, October 9th, Mayor Bach’s Chief of Staff Laura Neumann addressed the Peak Vista-Penrose St. Francis “Passing the Key” Ceremony. The event was a celebration of the forthcoming opening of Peak Vista’s twenty-first location, slated for early 2013.
Peak Vista serves over 60,000 low-income and under or uninsured citizens per year. This includes many homeless people, due to innovations like the Homeless Health Center and Mobile Van. Peak Vista partnered with Penrose-St. Francis and other private organizations to open this new location at no cost to the taxpayers. The twenty-first Peak Vista location will provide two different Family Health Care centers, a Developmental Disability center, and a Convenient Care center.
Speaking at the event, Chief of Staff Neumann thanked Peak Vista for their commitment to building a healthier community. She also passed along Mayor Bach’s gratitude to Peak Vista and mentioned his recent Spirit of the Springs Award presentation to their Volunteer of the Year, Dr. Neal Jepson.
