On Monday, January 14th, Mayor Steve Bach presented two school districts with Spirit of the Springs awards honoring superb academic achievements.

District 12 Superintendent Dr. Walt Cooper accepted the award on behalf of Cheyenne Mountain High School and Cheyenne Mountain, Broadmoor, Gold Camp, and Pinon Valley Elementary Schools. These five school are the recipients of the John Irwin Award which is given to schools that have met and exceeded their state standards on the TCAP (Transitional Colorado Assessment Program) tests.
District 2 Superintendent Andre Spencer accepted the award on behalf of the James Irwin Charter Elementary School. James Irwin Charter Elementary was also a recipient of the John Irwin Award. Please join Mayor Bach in congratulating these two school districts!
