This week, Mayor Steve Bach presented Academy School District 20 with a Spirit of the Springs award to honor its superb academic achievements.

District 20 Superintendent Dr. Mark Hatchell accepted the award on behalf of eleven D-20 schools: The Classical Academy High School, Pine Creek High School, Aspen Valley High School, The Classical Academy College Pathways, The Classical Academy Middle School, The Classical Academy Charter School, Chinook Trail Elementary School, Academy International Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School, Woodmen-Roberts Elementary School, and Foothills Elementary School.
Nine of these schools are the recipients of the John Irwin Award which is given to schools that have met and exceeded their state standards on the TCAP (Transitional Colorado Assessment Program) tests.
Seven of these schools are also the recipients of the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award which is given to schools that continue to show overall academic improvement based on their State Performance Framework. Please join Mayor Bach in congratulating Academy School District 20!
