Mayor Bach Makes Selection for Housing Authority Board
Mayor Steve Bach has selected Brian Colvert to fill a vacancy on the Housing Authority Board. Mr. Colvert is a financial advisor for the Colvert, Harvey Group in Colorado Springs. A 2002 graduate of Mitchell High School, he has a degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in City Planning and Urban Development from San Diego State University.
“Mr. Colvert’s financial expertise coupled with his recent experience on the Urban Renewal Authority Board make him an excellent choice to fill this position,” said Mayor Bach. Mr. Colvert’s Urban Renewal Authority term expires on March 31, 2012.
The Mayor wishes to thank Terrance Zebarth, who has been on the Housing Authority Board since 1994. “We are grateful to Terry Zebarth for eighteen years of service to our city.”
Mr. Colvert will go before City Council for confirmation on March 27, 2012.
The volunteer position serves a five year term as a member of a citizen board with time commitment of about six (6) hours per month, effective April 1, 2012. Eleven applications were submitted for the board position.
