On Wednesday, September 12th, Mayor Bach attended a Young Professionals Meet-Up event organized by Edie Adelstein. During the hour-long brainstorming session at MacKenzie’s Chop House, many ideas were discussed on ways to make Colorado Springs more attractive to young professionals. Thoughts included: more Downtown music, arts, and cultural festivals, more affordable Downtown residential complexes, a multi-purpose Downtown stadium, panhandling ordinances, greater police presence, and having more positive marketing and messaging for Colorado Springs.
Mayor Bach expressed his desire to have a major city event for young people in 2013. Ideas or proposals for this event should be sent to Event Coordinator Brianna Goodwin who can be reached at bgoodwin@springsgov.com
