Mayor Steve Bach and his wife Suzi stopped by the Inn at Garden Plaza on Tuesday morning, December 11th to wish Lorraine Crocker a happy one hundredth birthday.
Lorraine, a Colorado Springs native, worked as a switchboard operator for Mountain Bell (now Qwest) for 31 years. She was married to her husband, the late Army Air Force Sgt. Merrill Crocker, for 44 years. Lorraine and Merrill loved to travel, eventually visiting 49 of the 50 states.
The Mayor and Suzi visited with Lorraine discussing a variety of topics, including the tough times endured in Colorado Springs this past summer. They all agreed that the community came together in unprecedented ways in the aftermath of the Waldo Canyon Fire. Please join the Mayor and Suzi in wishing a very happy birthday to Lorraine Crocker.
