God Bless Officer Matthew Tyner

“Few things are as heartbreaking as the passing of one of our brave and dedicated police officers. A member of our City family, Officer Matthew Tyner, served on the Colorado Springs Police force for nearly 14 years. Tragically, his life ended today while he was conducting traffic enforcement near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Silver Drive.  An accident that will affect his family and friends for the rest of their lives causes us all to realize how precious life is. This has been a sad and difficult summer for Colorado Springs and, in fact, our whole state – many will join us in mourning the loss of Officer Tyner.  We will pray for him, his family, his friends and colleagues.  God bless this dedicated officer who died while serving our city.”
